In the Marina
These photographs were taken on Thursday 9th September from the narrowboat 'Bosworth' on the cruise from Tarleton to Preston Marina.
Videoactive are making a video record of the construction of the Link and their cameraman was also aboard. Many thanks to Dave Dawson and his son Paul for their hospitality on what was a very smooth trip.

Looking back from 'Bosworth' in the lock at Preston through the outer basin and out to the river Ribble. Dave Dawson is on the right and his son Paul on the left. Paul had cycled, in the rain, from Burscough to Tarleton to join his father the previous evening.

The lock gates and swing bridge opening to let us into the Marina.

Journey's end - Preston Marina. The Cruise moorings are on the right below the recently built blocks of flats. Preston town centre lies in the distance beyond the end of the marina.

The new arrivals preparing to moor. The swing bridge and control tower are on the right.

This photograph was taken from the swing bridge while the next lockful of boats which had been following us up-river was assembling.
The two photographs below were taken on Friday 10th and Sunday 12th September at Preston Marina.
