The Heritage Park

The route of the Link will incorporate a linear water and heritage park to enable the entire local community along with anglers and ramblers to enjoy an area which at present is derelict land.

A number of large art works by Thompson Dagnall will be erected along the route of the navigation.

We propose that each lock will be sponsored by certain major companies from the area, and will feature the history of that company thereby making the route an educational walkway for children.

The local inhabitants, anglers and ramblers will benefit from the recreational facilities which are to be created.
