The aims of the Trust

  1. To promote the Ribble Link, this being to attempt to connect the Lancaster Canal to the River Ribble by canalising the Savick Brook, thereby enabling craft to cruise the country-wide network of inland waterways.

  2. To promote the fullest use of this waterway by all forms of waterborne traffic along with recreational activities for the benefit of the public.

  3. To promote the education of the public in the history and use of the canals and waterways of the United Kingdom and this waterway in particular.
